Marketing Campaigns

Over the years, people have been split about just how effective marketing campaigns are. While it is true that you need to get the word of your business out there, which types of marketing are really effective is a question many ask. For example, have you ever been tempted to go out and buy a car because of an advertisement you saw on television? Probably not.

And yet, car companies spend millions of dollars each year getting news of their products on the major shows on the major channels. On the other hand, you have fast food companies, which also spend quite a bit of money on television advertising. Although their direct affect can't be measured, it is likely that they are much more effective. Odds are you have been tempted into buying a burger because of the way in which it was represented on television. The fact that more people are likely to buy more products for the same type of media advertising (which of course both cost the same) is enough to have any car company executive head for anger management in Calgary.

What this hints at for the small business owner is that care needs to be taken when it comes to designing a marketing campaign. You want the campaign to be as effective and economical as possible. You probably don't have the money to stamp every international SIM card in the country with your label, and even if you did it probably wouldn't be very successful. What you need to do is make sure your campaign suits your product or service.

One place a lot of people are starting their marketing campaigns today is online. A good example of this is the non profit group Democracy Now. Through their online campaign and their online presence exclusively, they have managed to spread a lot of awareness of the issues which concern them the most. In fact, their marketing campaign has been almost exclusively Internet based, as they reach towards a new generation in new ways.

Advertising within a likely market is also very important. A specialist in sedation dentistry in Mississauga would be wasting money if her advertisements were being seen in Calgary, far from the base of operations. Local advertising, in that case, would not only be the most economical option but the most effective too.

The perfect marketing campaign will have an integrated front. A blend of local and targeted advertising, Internet campaigns, and product placement would be ideal for a company like lapex Edmonton. Odds are that this type of campaign would be easily funded, and returns can be easily measured through questionnaires and surveys.
